Congradulations to the Boston Celtics on their 2008 NBA Championship!!

Last night, the Boston Celtics were able to close out the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals. This marks the Celtics 17th Championship in franchise history and is the first championship for NBA Superstars Paul Piece (Who was named the finals MVP), Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen. As the NBA season is now complete, focus will be shifted to the 2008 Olympics and we should have some exciting new blog posts in the coming weeks with the countdown to the start of the Olympcis.

The Lakers put a hold to Celtics celebration; force a game 6 as the Finals moves back to Boston.

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers laid their heart on the floor in Game 5 of the 2008 NBA Finals in what will be their final home game of the season. LA came out with a strong first quarter just as they did in game 4, and with Kevin Garnett in early foul trouble it was up to the Celtic's bench to come in and provide a spark to bring themselves back. With Paul Pierce leading the way, the Celtics made another surge to make it a memorable game 5, and dispite a strong showing the Celtics couldn't finish the series off as a late steal from Kobe Bryant helped ice the game and force a Game 6.
